Make the Pledge

Make the Pledge to March in Albany for the Deadline Hochul day of action on Saturday, April 18th...

Together, we will demand Hochul stop siding with the oil and gas interests and instead accelerate the transition to renewable energy and, in so doing, lower our energy bills, create good jobs, and slash pollution.

With Trump on a trajectory toward authoritarian rule while rapidly bringing us to the brink of climate disaster, Hochul must stand up against the tyranny and show determined leadership if we are to have any hope for a livable planet.

It's

Deadline

Hochul

Trump is on a trajectory toward authoritarian rule while rapidly bringing us to the brink of climate disaster. Utility bills are unaffordable. Good clean energy jobs are disappearing. Air pollution kills thousands of New Yorkers each year and elders and children are forced to stay inside.

Yet, like Trump, Hochul ignores our laws by approving the Williams NESE pipeline, delaying the state’s end to oil and gas in new buildings, permitting fracked gas power plants like Greenidge bitcoin, stopping the cap & invest program, cutting clean energy programs like NY-Sun and Empower Plus, pushing data centers, and disregarding the state’s climate pollution reduction law.

That is why thousands of us are making the pledge to march in Albany on Saturday, April 18th. It’s Deadline Hochul.

Instead of approving the Williams NESE and Constitution fracked gas pipelines, Hochul should lower our energy bills through the rapid buildout of solar and wind energy and making our homes more energy efficient.

Instead of destroying the programs that help install solar on our homes and failing to buildout more public power and utility-scale solar, wind and battery projects, Hochul should create good jobs building public renewables, transmission projects and residential solar.

Instead of halting the state’s cap and invest program just before it was set to start, Hochul should deliver billions of dollars of state investments yearly in our future.

Hochul must set specific, enforceable anti-pollution requirements to break free from the shackles of expensive, polluting oil and gas and deliver the billions of dollars of state investment yearly needed to make clean energy affordable for all - creating tens of thousands of good jobs in the process. She should tax the rich!
